When staying in West Argyll, Scotland, great views are to be expected and certainly so when staying at the Braeside Guest House, near Oban. Situated just 3 miles from the famous 'gateway to the islands' port, it is a setting which benefits tremendously by the views of Loch Feochan and the hills of Mullach Ban and Craeg Mhor.

It is a peaceful locale for sure; made all the more pleasant by the warm welcome and great hospitality as provided by hosts Jon and Cherry Freeman and with all the sights and attraction of Oban nearby, a whole world of possibilities opens up for any stay in this beautiful part of the country.

Suffice to say, location is important when choosing a guest house in and around Oban but what is inside the property is just as crucial to the overall experience. The positive feedback and number of regular guests who return each year to the Braeside Guest House would suggest Jon and Cherry have it just about right in combining comfortable, well-appointed accommodation with delicious food to keep guests coming back for more.

Guestrooms are available in twin, double, king size and triple bed options, all on the ground floor and all en suite. Additional room features as standard include TV with DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities, with a selection of magazines, books, and DVDs available in the guest lounge. There is a well-stocked bar too, with over 100 malt whiskies to choose from and extensive selections from the wine cellar.

Everyone will enjoy the breakfasts at Braeside with ample choice of freshly cooked and continental options on offer, and evening meal can be taken too, cooked to the same high standard and with a similarly diverse array of dishes available. Choose two courses for £23, three for £25.
